Sugar Beet
Sugar beet is very high in fiber. It is succulent and tasty so more horses will eat it without a problem. It comes in cubes and shreds, but it has to be soaked otherwise it swells in the stomach and will cause a severe colic. You want to make sure it is soaked in a lot of water. You should soak shreds for 12 hours and cubes for 24 hours. After it is done soaking, you should feed it to the horse immediately and discard the water used to soak it.
